Weapon of Choice by photographer Richard Johnson is an exhibition curated by Snap! Orlando which portrays the invisible pain caused by verbal abuse. Portraits feature children and adults with hurtful words painted on their faces or bodies. These words, which had impacted their life, are integrated in simulated wounds: bruises, scratches, and burns. The graphic yet poignant visual display of the harm words can have, challenges viewers to examine the choice and impact of their own words.
