Perceptions of the Holocaust in Africa

Join the Holocaust Memorial Resource and Education Center for our Continuing Discussion Series Crucial Conversations for a Unified Florida.  We are pleased to welcome our guest speaker, Dr. Edward Kissi. Dr. Kissi is an  Associate Professor at University of South Florida, discusses his pathbreaking book “Africans and the Holocaust: Perceptions and Responses of Colonized and Sovereign Peoples (2020)” and why he wrote it.  He will also discuss what newspaper editors in colonial and sovereign East and West Africa printed about the Holocaust in their newspapers, their sources of information, and how they interpreted Holocaust news.
