Each year, the Holocaust Center honors people who uphold the values of the Center and embody our mission to create a more just and caring community. Past honorees include Elie Wiesel and Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer.

For 2020, we are excited to honor Orange County Mayor Jerry L. Demings! Mayor Demings is a longtime supporter and treasured ally of the Holocaust Center. His unwavering support of our UpStanders: Stand Up to Bullying Initiative has greatly contributed to the program’s success and continued growth in our schools. He is a committed public servant who has dedicated over 38 years of service to our community.

Because we had to cancel the in-person event back in April, we felt it important to honor Mayor Demings with a virtual event!

Please tune in to join us in honoring a true champion of our Central Florida community, on Oct 22, 2020 at noon!

As we were planning for the live event, many organizations generously donated items for our silent auction. We decided to bundle everything in to one large package to offer you a chance to win!  This raffle funds our programs and will assist us with the expenses we are incurring to safely reopen our museum.

To get your raffle ticket, you can donate online for your chance to win! A $25 donation = 1 virtual ticket.
One lucky donor will be announced during the event (but you don’t need to be present to win).
A randomly selected winner will receive this package valued at $4,900:
  • Sea World/Discovery Cove package for 4
  • 2 round-trip tickets on JetBlue
  • 3 Area Hotel stays- Sheraton Orlando North, Westgate Resorts, Westin Lake Mary
  • Multiple restaurant/dining certificates
  • Multiple local experiences including Andretti Karting, Central FL Zoo, Orlando Science Center, and The Great Escape Room
