Volunteers are essential to our Center’s weekly operation, outreach and programming. Schedules are flexible, training is provided, and you can be sure that your efforts are appreciated. Some of the ways you can help:
Sunday Volunteers who are available to keep the Center open every Sunday from 1 to 4 PM. Jobs include greeting visitors and helping maintain the library.
Event volunteers – some here at the Center and some in the community – to represent the Center, chat with visitors, and to keep programs running smoothly.
Volunteer puppeteers to present The Ultimate Consequence, a light and shadow show about teen bullying and suicide, done with overhead projectors and a dramatic sound track. Follow-up discussions in the classroom are part of the program. (Requires a minimum of 8 hours training; must be available during school hours at least a few days each week.)
Teachers Institute support (2 weeks, mid to late June, full day) to copy and collate materials, assist with registrations and breaks, act as second pair of hands whenever needed.

Potential volunteers are asked to complete a volunteer application and will be interviewed by the Holocaust Center’s volunteer coordinator.
