Mention Harris Rosen’s name and it conjures up images of beautiful hotels and successful restaurants. Lesser known is his dedication to what he calls “responsible capitalism” and decades of generosity that reaches literally around the world.

Here in Central Florida The Harris Rosen Foundation has generously supported the Holocaust Center for more than 20 years. Other community investments include the Rosen College of Hospitality Management at UCF, and the Jack and Lee Rosen Southwest Orlando Jewish Community Center. He has provided extraordinary opportunities through his Tangelo Park Program, including free preschool education, mentoring, and a college education for every Tangelo Park student who graduates from high school.

Internationally, Harris Rosen has long been involved in Haiti, providing food, education and healthcare supplies to that nation. Recently his work expanded to include the building of a Little Haiti House Village, a community that eventually can become completely self-sustaining. He is also part of an initiative to help the South African government create jobs and reduce unemployment.

Harris Rosen personifies the heart of the Holocaust Center’s mission by dedicating himself to creating a more compassionate and just world. Please join us in honoring him and supporting our efforts to create a world free of prejudice and bigotry.

WHAT IF? is the intriguing question and theme for the evening. What if our community hadn’t been blessed by Harris Rosen? What if he had chose another career, or another community, or another set of priorities? And that leads to another list of questions. What if each of us put an emphasis on responding to the needs of others, as much as Harris Rosen has done? What if, throughout history, more people thought about ways to enrich our community and repair our world?

Michael Andrew & The Atomic Big Band will perform at this year’s event. Known for their retro big band sound and mix of vocals and entertainment, the group will carry out the “what if” theme, playing music that might have been lost if it weren’t for fate and the helping hands that allowed European composers and musicians to immigrate and thrive.

Reservations are now being accepted. Information about donating auction items and other ways you can sponsor this evening are available by calling the Center at 407-628-0555. Click here to reserve your seat or sponsorship online.
