The annual Dinner of Tribute, held each Spring, is the Holocaust Center’s largest fundraiser.
During the event, the Holocaust Center honors an individual who has made a significant contribution to the wellbeing of the community.
Dr. Richard Lapchick has been selected as this year’s honree. He is the Director of the Institute for Diversity and Ethics in Sports, the National Consortium for Academics and Sports and holds the DeVos Sport Business Management Program Chair at the University of Central Florida. Lapchick’s life work reflects the same values that are deeply engrained in the Holocaust Center’s mission: equality, dignity, education and respect. His stated goal is to help graduates “evolve into community servants, interested in all of humanity.”
Please join us for this year’s Dinner of Tribute on Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at the Rosen Plaza Hotel. Throughout the evening we will focus our attention on the issues of respect and civil discourse: our ability to listen to each others’ perspectives and disagree without being impolite and offensive.
