On Sunday May 1 at 4 PM we will be hosting JANE YOLEN as the speaker for our Yom HaShoah community remembrance. Author and editor of over 300 books – plus thousands of short stories and poems – she is best-known by most students for her Pit Dragon Trilogy, Lost Girls, and the Xanadu Series as well as two renowned Holocaust-related books, The Devil’s Arithmetic and Briar Rose.
The Yom HaShoah event also includes candle-lighting in memory of the Six Million Jews killed by the Nazis and awards for winners of the Yom HaShoah Student Creative Arts Contest. No admission is charged for attending.
The film The Devil’s Arithmetic will be screened on Sunday April 10 at the Center, and a new stage play based on Briar Rose will be presented in Orlando in August.

No admission is charged for visiting the Center or for attending commemorative programs and films. Scheduled school group may limit access to some parts of the museum.
